They bought the lantern from dozen of stores that were set up at the event. By 22.30pm, around 1,000 lanterns were released into the sky. Within an hour some 8,000 had been released. The event smashed the Polish record for the largest number of lanterns released on one time. Organisers now plan to beat the Guiness world record at the same event next year.
